Why Silkine?

  • Producer and maker

We searched and found the best silk supplier in the Shanghai area of China at the natural home of the silk producer: the Bombyx mori silk moth and its food, the white mulberry. This supplier’s silk has obtained the ecological certification OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Confidence in Textiles), a guarantee of quality.

  • Confidence

The independent Swiss certification OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 guarantees a human and ecologically responsible product. Controls are held at different times and regularly at different levels guaranteeing:

  • Quality

Our pillowcases are made of luxurious 100% silk charmeuse. Charmeuse is a type of silk, dull on the back, shiny on the front, particularly adapted to pillowcases. The whole pillowcase is made of silk charmeuse, including the flap inside. We have chosen a prettier Oxford style with a surrounding 5cm (2”) flange and an 18 cm (7”) large inside flap. We have chosen for our Silkine natural silk pillowcase a weight of 19 momme charmeuse of long fibers as opposed to less expensive pillowcases using only 16 momme silk.  This allows us to offer a better value and quality for the money as well as better durability and softness. Our silk is 100% pure untreated undyed luxurious natural softness. Unlike synthetic satin, natural silk offers numerous benefits for the beauty of your skin and your hair as well as for your health (such as being hypoallergenic). Please follow our guide.
